Steve Busby BEd (Hons) and NPQH
Steve has many years experience at teaching and leadership level in education and has been the PE lead at four primary schools and one secondary school before becoming a primary school head teacher for 10 years. Steve is a director at The PE & Sports Hub and has been a consultant in PE for 5 years. He leads insets for schools and for PE Leads and works for numerous Teaching schools as well as leading the Primary PE PGCE course for a SCITT.
Nick Furness BEd (Hons)
Nick has many years experience teaching having specialised in Primary Physical Education. He has coordinated PE at both primary schools he has worked in and led training across the borough in numerous initiatives. More recently, he now works alongside teachers and schools in South Manchester helping deliver and develop their PE curriculum inside and outside of the classroom.

Supporting Pupils’ Wellbeing Through Physical Education
The Level 4 Qualification in Supporting Pupils’ Wellbeing Through Physical Education is a nationally recognised qualification that enables delegates to become specialists in supporting the emotional and social wellbeing of pupils through physical education. This qualification is open to both primary and secondary school teachers with QTS involved in the teaching of physical education.

Primary Physical Education Specialism
This is a recognised qualification that aims to upskill primary school teachers and higher level teaching assistants and experience NGB qualified coaches to improve the overall delivery of the physical education curriculum within primary schools. On successful completion of this qualification, delegates will be able to assist in raising the standards within primary school physical education teaching and learning.
Level 6 Certificate
Physical Education Subject Leadership
This is a recognised qualification to improve the overall leadership and management of the delivery of the physical education curriculum within primary schools. The aim of this qualification is to enable subject leaders to support and upskill other colleagues in teaching the physical education curriculum. On successful completion of this qualification, delegates will be able to advocate, articulate and lead physical education to achieve whole school improvement.
